Market Timing Score
Evaluates whether now is a favorable time to enter a target occupation (0-100, higher = better timing). Factors in your training duration to project conditions at expected entry.
Components
Current Demand Favorability
30%Employment trend slope (5yr) blended with BLS projected growth rate.
Projected Gap at Entry
35%Most important component. Projects demand trajectory forward by training duration and compares against supply saturation.
AI Disruption Adjustment
20%Uses the AI Complementarity Score as a timing signal. Higher complementarity = less disruptive = better timing.
Competition Window
15%Combines oversaturation level with demand favorability. Lower saturation + positive demand = wider entry window.

Limitations
- •Confidence bands widen by ~0.4 points per training month. Longer horizons are inherently less certain.
- •BLS projections have ~5.6% mean absolute error per year; 42% of categories are off by 20% or more.
- •Entry gap projection uses simple linear extrapolation, not structural econometric modeling.
